The Freedom of Information Act allows you to ask us for the recorded information we have. You don’t have to tell us why you want the information, and we won’t ask.

Asking for information

You can request information by contacting our Freedom of Information Team.

What your request should include

Requests should include:

  • your full name
  • an address to contact you
  • a clear description of the information you want

We will reply to you within 20 working days of receiving your request.

Your request will be handled under different regulations depending on the kind of information you ask for.

For example:

Some information may not be available. If this applies, it is called an exemption. We will tell you why we cannot give you some or all of the information you requested. More information can be found in our freedom of information policy.

Freedom of information policy

The Freedom of Information Act requires us to make information available to the public as part of normal business activities.
